B4udecide.ie at the Young Social Innovators Annual Showcase

The b4udecide team attended the Young Social Innovators (YSI) Annual Showcase 2011.  You may have been lucky enough to receive a b4udecide t-shirt, sticker or highlighter promoting the website, www.b4udecide.ie.

Over 1,000 students from all over the country took our online quizzes and polls during the regional Speak Outs and the Annual Showcase.  The b4udecide website features quizzes, polls and video interviews with young people on relationships and dealing with peer pressure. The website also features experts talking about issues that can affect young people.

The HSE Crisis Pregnancy Programme sponsored a YSI challenge award called "Relationships & Sexual Health" this year. Congratulations to the winners of this award - St Angela’s College, Co Cork pictured below who won this award with their project "Because of You". The winning team wanted to promote positive relationships amongst teenagers and to demonstrate that all teenagers deserve to be treated well in a relationship. The aim was to raise awareness about abusive relationships and give people the courage to break away from unhealthy relationships.
