In 2008, an extensive consultation phase took place, where various experts in sex education, sexual health promotion were interviewed. People with experience of working with and for young people and parents of young people were also interviewed as well as individuals from statutory agencies. 40 individual were interviewed in total.
In addition, over 200 teenagers were interviewed and asked to give their views on why this campaign should look like, the logo, the content of the website and the look and feel of the website. They also submitted questions they said they would like addressed as part of the campaign.
